تعریف
دورة دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی Ph.D by Research یکی از بالاترین مقاطع تحصیلی آموزش عالی است که به اعطای مدرک دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی (Ph.D by Research) می‌انجامد و مجموعه‌ای هماهنگ از فعالیت‌های پژوهشی و آموزشی است.
هدف
هدف از ایجاد دورة دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی، تربیت افرادی است که ضمن احاطه یافتن به علوم مرتبط در زمینه‌ای خاص و آشنا شدن با روش‌های پیشرفتة تحقیق و دستیابی به جدیدترین مبانی پژوهشی بتوانند ضمن فراهم آوردن بستری جهت حل مشکلات مبتلا به جامعه و در دست گرفتن رهبری پژوهش، با نوآوری در زمینة ارتقاء و توسعة روش‌های نوین و پل زدن بین علوم پایه و کاربردی با هدف ارتقاء سلامت، گامی در جهت خودکفایی کشور و توسعة پایدار و گسترش مرزهای دانش و ارتقاء علمی مراکز تحقیقاتی و دانشگاه‌ها و احیاء روحیة خودباوری برای دستیابی به تازه‌های جهان دانش بردارند.
معرفی دوره دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی
دوره دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی در مراکز تحقیقاتی مجهز و واجد شرایط دانشگاه با احراز صلاحیت از معاونت تحقیقات و فناوری وزارت بهداشت، برگزار می گردد.
دوره دکتری تخصصی پژوهشیشامل دو مرحله «دوره عالی پژوهش MPhil و دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی» می‌باشد. طول دوره MPhil یک سال است که در این دوره دانشجو مهارتهای نظری و عملی بنیادین پژوهش را می آموزد. تعداد واحدهای دوره عالی پژوهش 24 واحد آموزشی و پژوهشی است. طول دوره دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی سه سال است که دانشجو با استفاده از مهارتهای کسب شده در یک هدف تحقیقاتی یک یا چند پروژه تحقیقاتی را متناسب با اهداف مؤسسه انجام می‌دهد. واحدهای مرحلة دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی شامل 30 واحد پایان نامه وحداکثر 10 واحد آموزشی اختصصاصی با تشخیص استاد راهنما می باشد.
فارغ التحصیلان با مدرک دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی با گرایش متناسب با رشتة تحقیقاتی ارزیابی شده، می‌توانند در مؤسسات، دانشگاه‌ها و مراکز تحقیقاتی و آموزشی به عنوان عضو هیأت علمی پژوهشی مشغول به کار شوند و نمی‌توانند بااستفاده از مدرک اخذشده در امور کلینیکی یا پاراکلینیکی و تأسیس داروخانه استفاده نمایند.
شرایط ورود
شرایط عمومی
· داشتن شرایط عمومی ورود به آموزش عالی
· عدم وجود منع قانونی ادامة تحصیل از لحاظ خدمت نظام وظیفة عمومی برای داوطلبان مرد.
· داشتن دانشنامه دکتری عمومی، کارشناسی ارشد (فوق لیسانس) یا بالاتر از یکی از دانشگاه‌های داخل یا خارج کشور مورد تأیید وزارتین بهداشت، درمان و آموزش پزشکی و علوم تحقیقات و فناوری
· دارندگان مدارک معادل کارشناسی ارشد مجاز به شرکت در این دوره نمی‌باشند.
· انطباق سوابق آموزشی و پژوهشی و دانشنامة داوطلب با دورة پیشنهادی دکتر تخصصی پژوهشی به عهدة مؤسسة برگزارکننده می‌باشد.
· عدم اشتغال به تحصیل هم‌زمان در دوره‌های دکترای تخصصی (PH.D.) یا دستیاری در کلیة دانشگاه‌ها و مؤسسات آموزشی و تحقیقاتی کشور
· تحصیل در مقطع دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی تمام وقت می‌باشد. لذا هرگونه اشتغالی غیر از تحصیل ممنوع است.
· موفقیت در آزمون زبان انگلیسی مطابق با مصوبات شورای عالی برنامه‌ریزی علوم پزشکی
· موفقیت در مصاحبة ورودی توسط مؤسسه
شرایط اختصاصی
شرط لازم و پذیرش در این دوره داشتن حداقل دو مقالة تحقیقی منتشر شده در مجلات معتبر ایندکس شده در ISI/PubMedبه عنوان نویسندة اول یا مسؤول به تشخیص کمیتة منتخب دانشگاه در هنگام ثبت‌نام می‌باشد.

نکات مهم
1) تحصیل در دورة دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی تمام وقت بوده، بنابراین هرگونه اشتغالی غیر از تحصیل برای دانشجو ممنوع است.
2) دانشجو یا واحد حمایت‌کنندة دانشجو جهت گذراندن واحدهای دورة عالی پژوهش MPhilموظف به پرداخت شهریه (مصوب در شورای دانشگاه) می‌باشد.
3) دریافت کمک هزینة تحصیلی و سایر مزایای دانشجویی در دورة دکتری تخصصی پژوهشی در پایان هرماه منوط به صدور گواهی حضور تمام وقت و انجام وظایف محوله از سوی استاد راهنما می‌باشد.
